Questions

Fair questions. Plain answers.

What a verified record proves, what a voucher is actually asked, and exactly what we keep. If an answer here is vague, treat that as a bug and tell us.

For candidates

Your record, your link.

Nothing is verified, shown or sent without you starting it.

What does a verified record actually prove?
Which specific fields were confirmed on that job — employer, dates, title — by which method, at which level. A record can say “dates verified via employer, title unverified”. It never collapses into one tick over your whole history, because that is not what anyone checked.
Who can see my page?
Only the people you send the link to. The address carries a 128-bit token, there is no search and no directory, and the page stays off until you switch it on. You can hide any single record or vouch, switch the whole page off, or rotate the link — which kills every copy of the old one instantly.
What if my old manager has left, or the company is gone?
Upload a payslip, contract or reference letter instead. That earns Level B — “documents only” — and we say so plainly rather than dressing it up: we do not attempt forgery detection. The files are deleted after 30 days; the signed attestation and the file’s hash remain.
Do I have to tell my current employer I am looking?
No. We never contact an employer unless you ask us to, and your current role is the one we expect you to skip. To show you are there now, confirm a link we send to your work address — it proves current affiliation and nothing more, so it carries Level C and expires after a year.
Can I change a record after it has been verified?
You can edit it, but editing a verified field un-verifies that field — your manager signed off on the old value, not the new one. The signed attestation is never rewritten. A correction is a new record, which is the only way the old one stays worth anything.
For vouchers

Two minutes. No account.

Someone you worked with sent you a link. Here is what it asks of you.

Someone asked me to vouch. What is involved?
One page, about two minutes: how you worked together, and for each skill they named, whether you saw it yourself plus one sentence of context. No password, no account, no newsletter. The link lasts 14 days and is spent when you submit.
Will my name be on their page?
Your choice, at the end of the form: named to viewers, or shown as a verified but anonymous voucher. Either way we know who you are, and we always will — a vouch nobody can be held to is just a compliment.
What if I cannot honestly vouch for something?
Skip that skill, or close the tab. There is no negative vouch, no star rating and no free-text box for criticism anywhere on this platform. Declining is the whole vocabulary — and a skill you did not answer simply does not appear.
Is anything I answer hidden from the candidate?
One field. “Would you work with them again?” is recorded for our own accountability and rendered to nobody — not to viewers, not to the candidate, not back to you. Everything else you write is visible to them the moment you submit, so write nothing you would not say to their face.
Can I take a vouch back?
A signed vouch cannot be edited — not by the candidate, not by you, not by us. Withdrawal is a different thing from editing: write to privacy@example.com and we will take it down. You are a data subject here in your own right, not a field on someone else’s profile.
Privacy & data

What we keep, and for how long.

The short version: attestations, not evidence. The long version is on privacy and erasure.

What happens to documents I upload?
We take the fields we need, sign an attestation, and delete the file after 30 days. What stays is the attestation and the file’s SHA-256, so the claim remains checkable without us holding your payslip. For photos and scans you can black out salary figures in your browser, so they never reach us; PDFs you redact yourself before uploading.
Is there a trust score?
No, and there will not be. A single number hides its own inputs and invites people to rank humans by it. You see the components — method, level, which fields, who said what — and a person draws the conclusion.
Do recruiters have accounts here? Do you sell anything?
Neither. There is no recruiter product yet, no list you can be found on, and your record is not a thing we sell. The only route to your page is the link you sent, which is also the only route we ever intend to build.
What if someone intercepts one of your emailed links?
Sign-in links last 15 minutes and die on first use. Vouch and attestation links are single-use as well. We store only a hash of every token, never the token, so a stolen copy of our database opens nothing — and the raw link exists in exactly one place: the email we sent you.
Can I delete all of it?
Yes, from your dashboard, without emailing anyone for permission. It removes your account, your employment records, every verification, every vouch written about you, and your CV from storage. The vouchers themselves stay on file as their own data subjects; what they said about you goes with you.

Four things we will not build.

Deliberately absent

No trust score

No single number standing in for a person. Components only.

No negative vouches

Nothing here can be used to say someone was bad at their job.

No directory

Nobody browses candidates. Your page sits at the end of your link.

No automated rejection

Every output is an input to a decision a human has to make.
